Acquired this week, research on this antique piece is ongoing.... believed to be part of a country house collection, this does not carry the makers mark, but does fit the description of the Regency period.
An early pattern variation known to collectors as the "Oak Leaf and Peony" (or simply the "Masons Oak Leaf") variation of the Imari line.
The gold-painted oak leaves extending directly from the handles, combined with the smaller rust-red "outline-only" leaves, narrows the date down to circa 1813–1815.
