A pretty jug with floral decoration in a lilac blue clay and gilt detailing including floral sprigs, grapevines and Acanthus leaves in relief. Made by Hicks & Meigh, Staffordshire circa 1820-1825. A classical modelled jug with gorgeous handle detail and beaded detailing around rim of the foot. Initials inscribed on front are J & EW.
Dimensions: height 20cm at top of handle, diameter at rim 9cm. Maker's mark on base.
